WHAT TO SEE IN D.C.
While ISPA's 2010 Conference is the main reason for your visit to the Washington D.C. area/National Harbor, MD, the Gaylord Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the new bustling National Harbor. National Harbor is just a skip away from the heart of our nation's capital, but offers a wide variety of shopping, dining and entertainment. All things that suit a perfect get away amongst a fun filled 4 days of ISPA's 20th Anniversary Conference. Check out some of the exciting options below and plan your Conference trip now!
What to Do:
The Gaylord National sits conveniently within National Harbor, giving visitors easy access to the many different activities the harbor has to offer. Below are some entertaining opportunities located within the harbor.

Along with many opportunities within the area, the harbor also offers a quick 15-minute shuttle or water taxi to the heart of the capital. The Gaylord Hotel itself, offers a Downtown D.C. shuttle service that runs 7 days a week every hour, on the hour from 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. There is no easier way to see the White House, Arlington Cemetery, the Pentagon, Washington Monument, Union Station and more. The Gaylord shuttle offers stops at two destinations that allow you to navigate yourself around the city including the following:
- Old Post Office (1100 Pennsylvania Avenue NW)
- Union Station (H. Street and 2nd Street NE)
Tickets are reasonably priced at just $13 for a one-way or $20 for a round-trip. There are also unlimited passes available for three days at $49.
Besides just shuttles into the city, there are multiple city tours the area has to offer that all conveniently depart from the Gaylord Hotel. Below are some highlights of the available tours:

One-way tickets are $7 per person, with continuous service to:
King Street Metrorail Station (Yellow and Blue lines)
Old Town Alexandria (King Street and Route 1)
Departs every 30 minutes* from Gaylord National's main entrance
Sunday-Thursday - 6:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Friday-Saturday - 6:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Water Taxis to Old Town, Georgetown and Mount Vernon
Potomac Riverboat Company's Water Taxis depart regularly from Gaylord National's pier, offering exciting trips along the storied Potomac River to and from Old Town Alexandria, historic Georgetown, and George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens.
Tickets for these tours can be purchased at the Transportation Desk located in the Gaylord lobby from 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Additional Transportation Desk services include an airport shuttle service that offers hourly shuttle service from Reagan National Airport (DCA). There are also SuperShuttle services, private sedans, and taxis available to all major airports and most locations locally.
Where to Spa:
To unwind from the fun-filled days of onference and put your feet up a bit, check out the Gaylord Hotel Spa, Relâche Spa. Inside the sleek, modern setting of black and white marble, you'll find 12 various treatment rooms, including a cool treatment area, a couples' room and a Jacuzzi-all overlooking the Potomac River. Massage rooms and a health club round out the 20,000-square foot facility.
There are a number of treatments and services, including massages, facials, body therapies, hand and foot therapies, nail enhancements, hairstyling, make-up services, waxing and more.
An indoor pool spans the entire south side of the hotel tower. Additionally, ISPA attendees will receive complimentary fitness center access and a 20 percent discount on all massages, body treatment and facials.
