VOLUNTEER TASK FORCES

Task forces are formed by the chairman/president in consultation with the boards or executive committees to undertake specific charges and are usually active for a short time period.

Membership Task Force: This group will focus on tasks revolving around member benefits and engagement. Task force members will be split up into two sub-groups: day spa and medical spa. The term is approximately eight months. Application period closed Dec. 13, 2011.

Focus Group Task Force: This group will be working on various tasks that the board has considered in order to help make the best decisions for the association. Task force members will be presented with a topic that is being considered or reviewed by the ISPA Board and will be asked for reactions and ideas to help assist with the decision-making process. The term is approximately eight months. Application period closed Dec. 13, 2011.

Speaker Selection Task Force: This group is responsible for creating the education agenda for the 2012 ISPA Conference & Expo. This task force is very hands-on in working with the speaker applicants and the speakers once they have been selected. Task force members will analyze post-Conference attendee education survey results, review all speaker applications submitted to ISPA, interview speaker applicants and speaker references and make recommendations to the ISPA Board of Directors for speakers to include in the Conference education program. After speaker selections have been made, task force members will work closely with the speakers to educate them on the ISPA audience. The term is approximately a one-year commitment and includes approximately 100 hours of service over this time. Task force members cannot miss more than two calls for the duration of the task force. Application period closed Dec. 13, 2011.
