This session will focus on how Spa retailers are seeing strong retail growth by changing their practices, their inventory mix, their store layout and how they motivate their staff to sell retail.
During this 90 minutes presentation we will cover:

Category trends- what categories will see growth next year
Socially Responsible Retail- how you can make money and make your customer (and your team) feel great doing it.
Store layout- fixture and display examples you can do for a small investment to make a big change
Staff retail training system- the program to put your team on to get increased productivity.

 
Charles Compton 

Charles Compton founded Retail Consulting Company Mars Solutions in 1995. Helping clients such as Ritz Carlton, Hyatt, Hilton, Mandarin Oriental, Orient-Express, Capella and many independent owners realize retail potential in resort, hotel and spa operations. Previously Charles was a senior retail executive with department and specialty store background working with Neiman Marcus and Macys. He utilizes his extensive retail experience to help clients develop retail concepts and execute store operational improvements.

Specialties include retail management and staff  training in state of the art retail branding concepts, better inventory management, sourcing and product development with a focus on a selling and service culture in a luxury store environment. Charles was a contributing author for ISPA's Retail Management for Spas textbook and is a regular contributing speaker for the retail industry. Charles and his wife Judy own and operate a socially responsible retail store in Southern California that supports local and global artisans, eco-conscious practices and fair trade.
