BRENT BAUER
Integrative Medicine and Stress Management-An evidence-based view of therapies that work and how to incorporate them into daily living.Presented by Dr. Brent Bauer Tuesday, November 16, 2010 Click here to download session handoutsCurrent estimates suggest that between 50-60% of US adults have used complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) for their healthcare. As research has continued to grow, many of these CAM therapies have been integrated into conventional medical practice. The blending of the best of conventional and CAM practices has been called "integrative medicine". Dr. Bauer will highlight some of the research that is occurring at Mayo and how this research is changing practice. He will also discuss ways in which patients can be helped to make informed choices in regards to the use of these therapies. | |
| Dr. Brent Bauer is board-certified in Internal Medicine, an Associate Professor of Medicine and has been on staff at Mayo Clinic for 17 years.
