Thanks for making the 2011 ISPA Conference & Expo the "must attend" spa industry event! Check back in February for information on the 2012 ISPA Conference & Expo which will be held October 15-17, 2012 at the Gaylord Palms in sunny Kissimmee, FL.First-time Attendees
The 2011 first-time attendee programming was a hit! Spa professionals who have never attended the Conference before, new ISPA members and atendees who simply wanted a refresher course in order to make the most of their ISPA Conference experience benefited from there event. This program included pre-Conference planning aids and on-site support from the ISPA staff as well as the 2011 ISPA Membership Task Force. At the event, you were able to locate staff and task force members by the ribbons on their Conference badges and he or she was glad to answer your questions.
First-time Attendee Program
ISPA offered programming specifically aimed at first-time attendees looking to make the most of their ISPA Conference experience.
Pre-Conference webinar - Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011 2 pm ET
ISPA Membership Task Force members led first-time attendees through an overview of what to expect at the 2011 ISPA Conference & Expo. Tips were shared to ensure they made the most of their first Conference experience. A recording of the session is available at ispa2011.com for those who cannot participate live.
On-site orientation - Monday, Nov. 7, 2011 8 am PT
ISPA mentors guided first timers through critical pieces of Conference knowledge. They mixed and mingled with other first-time attendees and set the stage for a great Conference experience.
Lunch on the Expo floor - Tuesday, Nov. 8, 12 pm PT
First-time attendees joined together for lunch on the Expo floor. Lunch was served in a special section that was highlighted on the floor for mingling with other first-time attendees and ISPA mentors.
ISPA Conference Mentor Program
The ISPA mentor program connects you with a seasoned ISPA member who will be your guide to all things ISPA! As a first-time Conference attendee, you are encouraged to sign up for this new ISPA experience. You will be matched with an experienced ISPA member volunteer, who will contact you before the Conference to answer any questions you might have. When you arrive in Las Vegas, make plans to attend the Conference Orientation to meet your mentor and other ISPA volunteers and staff members.
