2010 ISPA FOUNDATION LIVE & SILENT AUCTIONS

The ISPA Foundation holds its largest fundraiser each year at the annual ISPA Conference & Expo.  Hundreds of donors and bidders participate in this event to help raise funds to advance the Foundation's initiatives, including the development of educational resources.  In 2008, more than 260 items were donated to the Foundation's auctions and proceeds exceeded $104,000. 

The auctions are a great way to make a tax deductible contribution to help promote a spa property, a new product line or market your brand, all while supporting a great cause.

Dates to Remember

-  Earlybird donation deadline (all earlybird donations will be highlighted in Pulse):  June 11, 2010

-  Deadline for donations to be considered for the 2010 Live Auction:  Sept. 21, 2010

-  Auction Catalog inclusion deadline (all items must be received at the ISPA headquarters office 
   by this date):  Oct. 8, 2010

-  2010 ISPA Silent Auction:  Nov. 15-16

-  2010 ISPA Live Auction:  Nov. 16

Donor Recognition

Once ISPA receives a donation (the actual item must be received), the donor and item description will be promoted on the ISPA Foundation Web site.  All donations submitted prior to the earlybird deadline, June 11, will be featured in the July Pulse magazine.  Donations received prior to Sept. 21, will also be featured in the auction catalog provided to all Conference attendees.

Donations selected for the Live Auction event are promoted in Pulse and are heavily promoted at Conference (signage, handouts and some items are promoted on stage during the sessions).  The items also receive a great deal of attention during the Live Auction event hosted by a professional auctioneer.

Delectable Delights:
Includes all food and beverage donations, cookware, wine glasses, kitchen appliances and accessories.

Entertainment, Fitness & Collectibles:
Includes all event tickets, video game systems, electronics, fitness equipment and autographed memorabilia.

Fashion & Accessories:
Includes all apparel, shoes, jewelry, scarves and other accessories. 

Great Escapes:
Includes all getaways that include accommodations.

Health & Beauty:
Includes all skin and body care products, makeup and hair products/supplies.

Elegant Accents & Décor:
Includes candles/scents, artwork, décor items, bedding accessories, throws and other home accents.

Music & Publications:
Includes all books, music and advertisement opportunities for publications.

Spa Equipment & Resources:
Includes any equipment that would be used within a spa (pedicure bowl, waxing kit, massage oils) and educational resources for spa professionals (educational courses & professional development).

Spa Experiences:
Includes spa treatments and spa packages that do not include accommodations.
